Overeaters Anonymous is self-supporting through the voluntary contributions of its members. Our four service bodies—Group, Intergroup, Region, and World Service—work together to carry the message of recovery through the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions.
When you contribute through your home's Seventh Tradition, your gift helps support meetings, literature, outreach, and service at every level of OA, ensuring the message of hope and recovery reaches those who still suffer.
OA Service Bodies - Big Country OA Intergroup, OA Region 3 and OA World Service Office have ongoing expenses and rely upon 7th Tradition contributions in order to continue supporting the OA Fellowship.
Automatic Contributions - If you want to “drop your dollar” in the virtual basket on a regular basis, the online payment services used by Big Country OA Intergroup offers the ability to set up automatic monthly contributions.
Individuals - You can contribute to the Big Country OA Intergroup, which then makes contributions to OA Region 3 and the OA World Service Office.
Meetings - Are suggested to send 50% of excess funds to their intergroup or service board, 10% to their region and 40% to WSO.
Support Beyond Your Meeting
In OA, service extends beyond individual meetings. Intergroup, Region, and World Service work together to support meetings, provide resources, and carry the message to those who still suffer. Contributions at each level help ensure recovery is available both locally and worldwide.

Your contributions help fund the intergroup’s Zoom subscription, website hosting & upkeep, hosting and promoting OA Workshops, and sending representatives to the Region 3 Assembly and delegates to the World Service Business Conference. BCIG also sends regular contributions to Region 3, and the World Service Office to help carry the message to other compulsive overeaters.
